GPU Support

Using a GPU is optional. If you plan on using a GPU, we recommend using an NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB of RAM. For example:

  • GeForce GTX 1070 or newer
  • Quadro P4000 or newer
  • Tesla P4 or newer

The following table lists the minimum required driver version for NVIDIA GPUs.

Operating SystemMinimum Driver Version
Windows452.39 or later
Linux450.80.02 or later

GenICam Support

You can use GenICam-compliant industrial cameras with LandingEdge.

You must install a GenTL Producer in order for LandingEdge to communicate with the camera. A GenTL Producer is the transport layer interface that enables the camera and LandingEdge to communicate with each other.

The GenTL Producer is often included as part of your camera manufacturer's SDK, like the Basler Pylon SDK or Allied Vision Vimba SDK. If you're having trouble finding the GenTL Producer for your camera, try the SDK for your manufacturer.

Supported Image File Types

LandingEdge can run inference on the following image file types:

  • PNG
  • BMP
  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • TIFF
  • MPO: An MPO file is a Multi-Picture Object file. It contains two JPG files that create a stereoscopic image when overlaid. When you upload an MPO file to LandingEdge, LandingEdge selects one of the two JPG files. Sometimes, a JPG from a smart phone might be interpreted as an MPO because it contains the main image and an embedded thumbnail. In this case, LandingEdge selects the main image.
